Curl up on a chilly afternoon with this handmade, soft quilt and your favorite beverage. It is the perfect size to create your comfy retreat on a chair or sofa, or to add a bit of extra coziness to your bed.
The modern patchwork pattern was inspired by the nurse's cross, making this a thoughtful gift for anyone in the nursing profession.
Included is a lovely large pillow cover done in hexagon shapes using the same fabrics as the quilt, along with a 20" pillow insert. No worries about finding a pillow to match the quilt!
The fabrics are the softest cotton from Art Gallery Fabrics, known for their silky texture. The colors are a mix of vibrant, deep teal and burnt orange, mixed with the palest ivory, white and deep black. The prints mix botanical and celestial themes with modern abstract elements. The black floral fabric is used on the back of the quilt.
I have quilted it lightly so that it is snuggly and not stiff. The middle layer (the batting) is made of bamboo and silk -- I love using this because it's both natural and a bit lighter in weight than all cotton, though it provides the same level of comfort and breathability. It also has a beautiful drape.
The combination of fabric and bamboo batting makes this quilt especially lightweight but still cozy and warm.
I have prewashed the quilt, and you can see the crinkly texture this has created in the photos.
Everything in my shop is made in my clean, smoke-free home.
Every effort is made to accurately portray the colors of this item; however, there can be variations due to differences in screens.
SIZE
The quilt is 44 X 58. If size is important, please measure your space to avoid disappointment.
CARE
The quilt is machine washable in cold water and can be tumbled dry. Detailed care instructions will be included with the item.
SHIPPING
This quilt is ready to ship. You may choose USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority during check out; both come with tracking and insurance.
With porch theft on the rise, I offer the option to require a signature for delivery for an additional $5. If tracking shows delivery to the shipping address but the package goes missing, I will not be able to refund or replace.
